I see so many firms moving to softphones (Teams/Zoom), but our reception team really prefers the feel and reliability of a physical desk phone. Are standard landlines still worth investing in for a busy front desk?
How do you keep up with the latest sports news, player performances, and team updates? Are there any websites, apps, or channels you recommend?
I usually keep up with sports news through a combination of mobile apps, official team websites, social media accounts, and sports-focused YouTube channels. Apps that provide live scores and detailed statistics are especially useful because they offer real-time updates on matches, player performances, injuries, and transfers. I also enjoy listening to sports podcasts that provide deeper analysis and expert opinions. For fans who follow multiple leagues, having a single source that combines news, statistics, and schedules can save a lot of time. Some people also use platforms such as the VOdds Sports Betting Platform https://vodds.com/sports/ to track fixtures, results, and team information while staying informed about the latest developments in the sports world.
Professional window cleaning services near me always leave a much better finish than DIY methods.
My flat's overdue for a refresh, and I'm really keen to get the living room and hallway repainted. I'm trying to find a good painter for property redecoration in South London who pays attention to detail. It's a bit of an older property, so there are a few quirks and uneven surfaces that need careful handling. Do any of you have recommendations for someone reliable and skilled who operates in this area? I'm open to suggestions for both individual painters and companies.
Someone recently showed me the work done by LGC Decorators, and it was quite impressive. They are known for providing excellent painters and decorators South London. They took on a rather large project at a friend’s property down in Dulwich, involving both interior and exterior painting services. My friend raved about their professionalism and the clean finish they achieved, even on some tricky period features. The team was very respectful of the property and completed the work on schedule, which is always a bonus. You could look them up; they seem to have a strong local reputation for quality.
I think physical desk phones still have a place, especially for busy reception areas where staff answer calls all day. A dedicated handset is often more comfortable, quicker to use, and less distracting than constantly switching between apps on a computer. Softphones are great for remote workers, but many businesses benefit from having reliable hardware at the front desk. We still use landline phones for reception because they're simple, dependable, and easy for new staff to learn. A hybrid setup with desk phones and softphones can provide the best balance of flexibility and reliability.
